Clubs and Vouchers

Pregnancy holds so much: morning-sickness, puffy ankles, tiredness and an ethereal glow (apparently!) but it can also hold an enormous amount of financial savings if you have access to the internet. So many stores websites now have Baby Clubs: Tesco, Boots and Babies r Us to name but a few. Pampers club not only send you enough vouchers to ensure that during your baby's first year you never need to pay full price for nappies, they also send you a month on month development email with FAQ's and general information. You can feel inundated by all the emails you get (although you can choose not to receive them) but the savings make it all worthwhile. It's an expensive business having a baby.

Families Forum gets a Makeover

Some of you may be unaware that Families Forum under went a makeover at the beginning of 2006. In fact we didn't just change the look we changed the forum software too.

The site logo was inspired by the artist Sara Peverett who painted a series of three pictures for our daughter Rosie. (More details can be found here)

Families Forum now runs on an industrial strength forum software that allows a greater control over the site. This has lead to the introduction of forum Moderators who monitor all posts on the site for child friendly content and respect for others.

Come and take a look at the new forum and please feel free to take part, you are always welcome!

The new Families Forum Logo - inspired by the Norfolk artist Sara Peverett (KittensMum)

Games Arcade

The Arcade is a great place to unwind and relieve the stresses of the day. I must admit it can get very addictive too. Why not see if you can beat the kids at their own game, I know I can't!!

There is also a highest score table so those competitive types of you can aim to knock each other off the top spot! !

How did you find Families Forum? Found the forum by Google. I tried a few, but the others weren't friendly and this isn't cliquey made me feel really welcome, even though I talk a lot.

Anything else you would like to add? I love the idea it is safe enough for children to use. My oldest are registered members and love it too. I have got a lot from the site both advice and support and it feels good being able give advice and support too.

Parent Free Zone

Just for the younger members, a place to discuss their hobbies, music, worries, games, birthdays or what they are doing at school. A place for them to let their hair down. They can make some really good friends who understand what being a child or teenager is like.

We [try] to keep the adults out of this area so kids feel they have their own space, own friends and own topical debates. And any adult who strays' get's told!!!
